The HDF Group engages in a variety of open and non-disclosure
projects with companies, national laboratories, and research
organizations. A subset of projects demonstrating the breadth of
our activities are highlighted below.
- ASC
HDF5 Support of Advanced Scientific Computing (ASC). - Boeing
No company has capitalized on the power and flexibility of HDF better than Boeing, which uses HDF in wide range of applications. - ESDIS
The ESDIS project ensures that THG can provide high quality support and services for the use of HDF software in EOS mission. - HDF and Bioinformatics
The HDF Bioinformatics project is a collaborative effort to develop portable, scalable, bioinformatics data storage technologies in HDF5. - HDF .NET
In March 2007, THG released HDF5 .NET prototype. The project was sponsored by Agilent. - HDF5 AIP
HDF5 Archival Information Package (AIP) a package for submission or archival storage of HDF5 files. - HDF5 Indexing
Indexing in HDF5 by means of simple table structures. For details, see RFC for Indexing Prototype in HDF5 - NARA
Investigating Scientific Data Management Applications with Electronic Records. - NCSA SRB
The HDF-SRB model is a client-server model that provides interactive and efficient access to remote HDF5 files. - NCSA systems
THG supports HDF4 and HDF5 on all of NCSA's high end systems. - netCDF-4
NetCDF-4 is the next major upgrade to the netCDF standard. It uses HDF5 1.8.0 as the underlying format. - OPeNDAP
Software to access HDF5 data via OPeNDAP's Data Access Protocol. - SciDAC/Pmodels
Pmodels focused on support for I/O in a massively parallel environment, and included both research and technology transfer activities.
